According to a report by Hong Kong based Media Partners Asia, online video revenues in the Asia Pacific region is expected to grow to $35B by 2021. Revenues will be highest from China (76%). 17% will be contributed from Japan, India, South Korea and Australia. In India, Advertising video on demand services will see a growth of 38% compounded annually till 2021. OTT SVOD services will see a 64% growth rate in the same time. Online video advertising is expected to be driven by greater mobile and broadband internet services. Apart from SVOD, TVOD (Transactional video on demand) services too are expected to grow rapidly in the region.
