Rambler Group, under the terms of the “cash-strapped deal”, has taken over Era Capital owned Russian OTT platform Okko. According to reports, the previous owners of Okko will receive a minority stake in Rambler Group who are into cinema chains Cinema Park and Formula Cinema.
Okko, previously called Yota Play was launched in 2011 was last year only got acquired by Era Capital. Okko is quite famous among OTT audience in Russia for its ad-free platform.
