According to Thinkbox, IPTV players like Netflix and Amazon now hold 4% of the total video consumption market in the UK. This has increased from 2.3% in 2014. 3 hours 51 minutes is the average time consumed on TV in a day in the UK. And 4 minutes a day was spent on mobile and computing devices. This is 1% less than the previous year but 5% more than 2005. Live, playback and video on demand accounts for 76% of the total TV video use. YouTube has steadily grown from 3.5% to 4.4% in a year.
In Australia, there has been a drop in the TV viewing hours of more than 18 hours a month over a time of around 5 years. While online video streaming consumption has increased by 10 hours per month.
