According to Business Bureau, A third of Latin American over-the-top (OTT) video services are bundled to a pay-TV subscription. The figures published by the market analyst show that 33% of OTT services are TV everywhere platforms, 28% are hybrid, with pure subscription-based, standalone services accounting only for 19% and becoming the third most common business model among streaming and video-on-demand (VOD) services.
Another distinctive feature of Latin American standalone services is the gradual addition of offline features, which are currently available on only eight platforms: Netflix, Atresplayer, Looke, Playkids, Studio+, Baby TV, Noggin and Amazon Prime Video.
