WarnerMedia- the combined forces of HBO, Turner, and Warner Bros acquired by AT&T is closing down its OTT service, FilmStruck. FilmStruck is a OTT streaming service offering independent, foreign, older, and art house-style films from The Criterion and Turner’s Classic Movies collection.

OTT service, FilmStruck will cease its international and US operations on November 29. A joint venture between Warner Bros. Digital Networks and Turner International’s Digital Ventures & Innovation Group, FilmStruck was launched in France and Spain earlier this year. WarnerMedia CEO John Stankey is reportedly planning for a direct-to-consumer streaming service and is slated to launch in the fourth quarter of 2019.
