XML (Extensible Markup Language)

XML or Extensible Markup Language is a markup language much like HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language), that defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both machine-readable and human-readable. It was designed to store and transport data. XML is self-describing. Tags are not predefined. So, you must define your own tags in XML. It is extensively used in a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA).

XML, with its versatility and structured format, plays a crucial role in data exchange for various applications, including live streaming services. In the realm of live streaming, XML facilitates seamless data management, enabling smooth integration between platforms and supporting real-time updates for live feeds. XML’s flexibility allows service providers to customize data tags and create unique identifiers, ensuring that information such as stream metadata, viewer analytics, and content descriptions is accurately conveyed.
