Subscription-based video-on-demand (SVOD) platform Alt Balaji has collaborated with Sri Lankan telco ALT Balaji to offer Indian content across the island nation.

The Indian OTT platform offers 150 hours of original content in a variety of Indian languages. The telco is also offering its ViU subscribers a one-month free access to ALTBalaji.

The online video streaming platform has a presence across 90 countries with 2.5 million subscribers under its belt.

Mangala Hettiarachchi, senior general manager – Global and Content Services, Dialog Axiata, quoted, “The launch of the ViU app signified a new era of accessible content for Sri Lankan consumers, not only in terms of local content but regional and international as well. Dialog’s partnership with ALTBalaji strengthens our commitment to providing consumers with a host of diversified content including programming in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali and more at affordable prices.”
