Leading video-on-demand (VoD) service ALTBalaji establishes itself in the Indian OTT industry firmer than ever with 8.9 million subscribers under its belt. Out of these numbers, 2.3 million users are among the active monthly users.
Balaji Telefilms, the parent company of ALTBalaji quoted, it had invested INR 4.5 billion in the over-the-top (OTT) platform as of the quarter ending 30 September, with plans to inject INR 1.5 billion each year into the ALT Balaji service.
According to the SVOD service, 70% of its OTT subscription revenue has come through its telco partners and 30% directly through its online platform.
