The media giants BBC and Discovery are reportedly planning to sign a deal to launch a subscription-based video streaming service. This channel will be streaming contents from the history and wildlife programming libraries of the broadcasters.
According to reports, Discovery is going to own this SVoD service with the BBC’s license to stream its entire library of history programs on the channel. Additionally, the programmes from Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, and Science Channel might also be available on this yet untitled platform.
The streaming service is expected to be launched in the international market excluding the UK and China. But neither Discovery nor the BBC has revealed anything regarding the deal.
