On an expansion mode, Dazn, the subscription-based-video-streaming platform officially gets launched in Spain. The company’s video streaming service is dedicated to sports and already has a strong foothold in Austria, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Canada, the United States, and Italy.
In Spain, Dazn encompasses exclusive rights to the English Premier League, Moto GP, and Euro League Basketball. As the video streaming market in Spain is already dominated by Telefonica, it is expected that the entry of Dazn will bring competition and set new industry trends.
Dazn is also currently streaming-sports in Brazil via social media and is due to launch its independent OTT platform in the coming months.
