A live television feature is being integrated into Plex’s video streaming and media application for iOS and Android TV. This will enable Plex’s subscribers to stream live TV on their smart devices wherever they are based. Live TV is supported only under the Plex Pass subscription tier that starts at $4.99/month.

For using Plex Live TV, a digital antenna will have to be installed, a digital tuner will need to be connected and everything will need to be synced to the user’s Plex Pass subscription account. Upon installation and setup, users can watch live HD content on over-the-air channels from major US networks including ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and CW as well as local programming, news and sports. International programming will include CBC, BBC, ITV, Telemundo and Univision. Channels available will vary according to location.
