American multinational media conglomerate, NBCUniversal International is bringing reality TV show subscription video-on-demand service Hayu to Canada. Available for CAD 5.99 per month in Canada, the SVOD service can be viewed on tablets, web, mobile phones and on connected smart TVs, at home or on the go.
Hayu offers a wide range of TV shows, such as Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Real Housewives and Million Dollar Listing franchises, and includes over 6,000 episodes of reality content from over 200 reality shows, with over 750 episodes added every year.
Hendrik McDermott, SVP of branded on-demand for NBCUniversal International quoted, “The proven healthy appetite for reality programming amongst Canadian viewers is reinforced by early enthusiasm for hayu, with thousands already binging on multiple favorite shows. We are excited to build momentum with Canadian subscribers.”
