According to study, video streaming giant Netflix scored an impressive 89.5 in the highest-rated content recommendation chart list followed by its counterpart Hulu(86.8). Premium SVOD platform Amazon Prime, the arch-rival of Netflix managed a bronze with 85 points in the list that also included YouTube TV(80.7) and HBO NOW (71.8).

Although overall OTT content recommendation strategy of leading online video platforms seem not so bright as only 29 percent of survey participants watch recommended content, the number is shockingly low for HBO NOW (6%).

According to a Morgan Stanley report, Netflix outplayed HBO in a survey related to consumer appreciation for original programming too with 39 percent of respondents saying  Netflix had the “best original programming” compared with HBO’s.
