Cable TV operator StarTimes has inked deals with Discovery and Fox to telecast high-quality entertainment to viewers across Africa via TV and OTT platform.
StarTimes and Discovery are in talks to launch a new lifestyle channel named Real Time. StarTimes which has a strong presence in Africa is also slated to offer Fox and National Geographic content on its OTT platform. (Subscription Video-on-demand) SVOD platforms such as Fox+ and NG+ will join the list of 70 channels on StarTime app.
The Chinese digital TV operator has a partnership with 23 telecom operators and caters to 450 million mobile phone users across the globe.
