HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding)

HEVC or High Efficiency Video Coding is a video compression standard. It is also known as H.265 and MPEG-H Part 2. HEVC offers around twice the data compression ratio at the similar level of video quality, or considerably enhanced video quality at the similar bit rate in comparison to AVC (MPEG-4 Part 10 or H.264). Including 8K UHD, it supports resolutions up to 8192×4320.
