Standalone SVOD service on Claro Video launched by Fox in MÉXICO

Fox Networks Group (FNG) Latin America announced introduction of its SVOD platform FOX Premium on Claro Video (América Móvil) service in Mexico. Through Mexican OTT, broadband users can subscribe to FOX Premium, without having to subscribe to pay TV services. Access to seven live linear channels with exclusive content and blockbuster movies are offered on FOX’s platform. Users can access FOX Premium for a promotional monthly subscription of MX$139 (USD 7.4) for 6 months. After that period, price will be MX$175 (USD 9.4). Payment for these subscriptions can be done through Telmex bill, credit or debit card.

The “Play & Go” menu and special areas of the Mexican platform carry the content. A user need not be subscribed to Claro Video to access FOX Premium. Mexico is the first market where FOX provides SVOD service for internet subscribers. In association with Dish OTT service, in mid-2016, the platform was launched. Rest of the countries in Latin America may very soon be able to avail the service.
